When I was shopping at the campus grocery the other I day, I ran into a group of my students, one of whom recommeneded a type of fruit that I don't think I've ever seen before: As you can see from this photo, it has a reddish-purple skin, and the pulp inside is white with numerous small black seeds that look kind of like sesame seeds. The taste is mild, almost bland, and the texture a bit like a soft melon. Can anyone fill me in as to what it's called? (In English; I was given the Chinese name, but that won't help me if I want to look for it back home.)

Looks yummy. It is called the dragon fruit. You can find them in H-mart or maybe be in any Asian store ...
